Element RStudio Manager does not (yet!) directly support BioConductor. If you would like to use BioConductor with the RStudio Package Manager, please contact us at [email protected] 1) You can download BioConductor by viewing the source package archives and then giving those archives to your local vendor.
If a package uses a system library that has not been pre-installed, it is expected that it will not work that way. Some packages require system libraries. If you’re using a package that uses a corresponding system library that you can’t select from RStudio Cloud, you can’t use that package if people on the internet can’t currently install them.
Use of a bioconductor. The current version of the Bioconductor version is undoubtedly 3.9; it works with R 3.6.0 variant. Legacy R or Must Bioconductor users will update their installation to take advantage of the new features and thus access the packages you have added to Bioconductor since the final release.
Bioconductor Version 3.15 (BiocManager 1.30.18), R 4.2.1 (ucrt install June 23, 2022) Unwritable paths, unmodifiable packages Path: C:/Program Files/R/R-4.2.1/library packages: MASS , nlme This is what you should expect from Windows.
Why are Bioconductor packages fail in RStudio cloud?
I actually tried installing the Bioconductor (“dada2”) package in this project, which installed without problems from a previous Rstudio.cloud project running in R3.6. The very first error message was that I was also unable to install the “ShortRead” dependency on Bioconductor, which I overcame by simply installing the archive.
Are there any issues with the RStudio Bioconductor?
Please note that these solutions are not enough for me as I have no problem installing Bioconductor. From @Deleet’s point of view, this is FOR WINDOWS ONLY. For others. For platforms see: https://support.rstudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/200486138-Changing-R-versions-for-RStudio-desktop.
Where can I find the Bioconductor error code?
Packages can be identified by a prefix error generated by Bioconductor. In your end case, these are Matrix, mgcv, survival packages – note that this particular error message does not distinguish between CRAN and Bioconductor packages, but includes packages that have already been given admin rights!
What’s the latest version of Bioconductor for Windows?
Users of older versions of R and Bioconductor will need to upgrade their installation to take advantage of new features and access mailing lists added to Bioconductor compared to the latest version. The degree of maturity of the bioconductor version is form 3.14; it works with R 4.1.0 release.
