You need to install libpcap0.8-dev which provides /usr/include/pcap.h. In the future, you will be able to find out by creating an apt file and using this: parse apt file /pcap. h (the first time you use it, you need to run sudo apt update )
The “configure: error: pcre.h no longer found” error indicates that your Linux system does not have built-in development of PCRE files. Follow these steps to install the PCRE library and progress header files. Install PCRE on Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint sudo $ apt-get install libpcre3-dev Install PCRE on CentOS, Fedora, RHEL sudo $ yum install pcre-devel
1) Check the source code, which will see the expected location for libpcap, either a symlink or a hard link to your location as stated by the libpcap experts. 2) rerun ./configure with our own option to look for libpcap in the current location to see if it works.
OP says libpcap-devel is set up (with libpcap)! where path is really the path given to us, you use person to select the substring of pcap.h to complete (without the pcap the.h part). @Dirk I think based on my original review also look at the date of the answer.
Is it possible to include pcap in pcap.h file?
Many applications * insist on permission, and at least some in the whole group * resort to mangling their configuration scripts to * detect operating systems that “helpfully” moved pcap.h, * leaving no good solid file behind. */ #contain
How to collect pcap logs with Wireshark and PCAP remote?
You can select a file in a separate output tab and set a log collection time limit for traffic: Close your email program if it can use the POP3 protocol. Choose your network interface carefully. Click on all rows with SMTP protocol and select Follow TCP stream.
